About Us

Heights-Hillcrest-Lyndhurst Branch has a long history of activism. Its membership is diverse in age, background, race, ethnicity, experience and interests. Branch members live across the Northeast Ohio area. We are a community that is intersectional, inclusive, intergenerational, and empowering.

Our website Home page gives the latest news. Find more on our Diversity Blog and be a member of our Facebook group AAUW HHL .

Branch meetings are usually at public venues on the fourth Wednesday of the month from September through May. Interest groups and committees schedule meetings on various days. Guests and prospective members are always welcome.

HHL is one of about 24 branches in AAUW Ohio and of more than 1,000 local branches in the national organization. Ohio membership numbers more than 500; the national community 170,000 people, and there are 800 AAUW college/university members.

AAUW is a national organization that promotes equity in education and the workplace for all women and girls. Our commitment to these issues is reflected in our public policy efforts, programs, and diversity initiatives.
